The first attempt at simple web design.

This link-based page explores some of my many influences from artists and illustrators, to authors and musicans.

The concept was sparked while looking through INFLUENCES: a lexicon of contemporary graphic design, a very interestng book.

My redesign project was a complete overhaul of the international design portal Nest Collective.

With the exception of their frequently updated newsfeed, a general lack of interest had left a majoriy of the site untouched since 2005.

Not only did I redesign the website, but i’m also a member. Look for me on the directory page! HINT: I’m the second listing under the letter A.

For my own portfolio site, I wanted to create an interesting contrast between my own illustration work and stark graphics.

The geometric stripe theme was originally inspired by the new branding for the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, MN.

Our final project for the course is a foray into standards compliant programming affectionately named CSS Candy.

So long as they were programmed with CSS and about a kind of candy, our sites could be excuted anyway we pleased.

My project is based after the first brand I ever fell in love with: Hard Candy Cosmetics.
