Commentary. Zaldron the Sage is a grizzled man in his middle 50s. Most of his life has been spent reading, drinking, preaching, and whoring, though not necessarily in that order. Several times he has strayed far off the path of the holy man, but always managed to save himself at the last possible moment with some new revelation. A couple of years ago he reinvented himself as "The Preacher" and rambled from town to port railing against injustice and "saving" the townsfolk. Now he has settled into Port Lissup, a much more amenable town.
Zaldron's travels have brought him a number of useful talents and skills, and he is extremely well read. Behind each of these abilities lies an interesting story, and inspection of these stories reveals much about the man who wields Truthbringer.
The Preacher is more than willing to help any lost souls, whether they seek salvation, advice, or information. Of course, listening to his sermon and dropping a few coins in the collection box doesn't hurt either. Finding Zaldron in Port Lissup should not be difficult: if he is not preaching from The Gospel, he's hunting for some old book or in a tavern "catching his breath."
