My name is Li Mei Tan or just Mei. I am a 3rd year student in Graphic & Interactive Communication major at Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida. I am also pursuing my minor in Business of Art and Design. Even though I have fallen in love with the interactive aspect of web design, I still dabble in different forms of design such as Print, Motion Graphics, Packaging, Photography, Typography, and Illustration. I love having a versatile and wide range of capabilities because it keeps me motivated and interested in different ways of approaching design.

I am originally from Malaysia where art and design are not the main focus in the society. I was once discouraged from pursuing my education in graphic design but I never gave up on my passion and hope for art and design to be appreciated in my country. With the help of the technology, art and design have changed into a new form of communication in which artists and designers now can express and voice our ideas. I want to inspire others and change the thought about artist and designers in my country.
