Stellar contest results are only a small part of what Todd Richards has accomplished during his extensive career. He is considered one of the most influential riders in freestyle snowboarding specifically in the half pipe. His amazing talent earned him a spot on the first US Olympic Snowboard Team in Nagano, Japan. He also has numerous X Games medals and Vans Triple Crown championships. Todd continues to contribute to the sport that he has dedicated so much of his life to.
Todd is no stranger to media coverge, He repeatedly appears in all of the industry publications, and he enjoyed a position as the guest editor for Snowboarder's January 2001 issue. Along with print media, Todd has recieved major exposure in the top snowboard films, with segments in The Resistance and Destroyer. He has even tried his hand at acting, when he made his debut in Out Cold, a major motion picture from Touchstone Pictures.
A video game enthusiast himself, Todd is also featured in three snowboarding video games: Coolboarders 2001, ESPN's Winter X Games Snowboarding, and Transworld Snowboarding. He also appears in the game box cover for Coolboarders 2001 and was featured in ESPN's television commercial campaign for their video game.
When he is not traveling the world competing, he is attending media events, shooting photos or spending time at home in Encinitas, California with his wife and two children.
