Sarah Katelynn is currently enrolled at the Ringling College of Art and Design in Florida. For her, Florida is a good change for now, but she hopes to live somewhere in Europe someday. She is originally from St. Louis, Missouri, where she spent most of her life. Sarah enjoys travel and meeting people from different cultures and other walks of life. She likes dancing, painting and coffee, and doesn't mind a rainy day. She hopes that she can use her life to help others and bring comfort to her friends. Sarah's work is a study of color and movement. She was painting long before she picked up a camera, so many of her ideas come from her painting experience. She is also interested in photographing theatre, especially dance. She plans to own her own studio where she would like to shoot people and dancers as well as her own ideas in fine art. Sarah's favorite artists include: Man Ray, Howard Schatz, Gene Kelly, Michelangelo, and Dali. Sarah's biggest influences, so far, in life have been some of her art and dance teachers as well as artist friends who are actively getting art out into the community. Her thanks goes to: Bill Hurst, Joseph Vargo, Mark Martin, Mark Shepard, Keiko Guest, Steven Katzman, and Giovanni Lunardi for teaching her to keep making art and helping her shape ideas about what in art is important. Also to her family and friends that support her everyday. Biggest thanks to her dad, who bought her her very first SLR, and to her mom, who made sure Sarah was exposed to art and travel. ![]() |
