HISTORY

This is the first ever lawn mower to be invented. It was invented in early 1830, and people loved it. The inventor of this early lawn mower was Charles B. Buckinton. The lawn mower was originaly named the Buckinton grass shreder, because Charlse was inspired by food graders and shreders.

PURPOSE

The purpose of this early lawn mower, or the Buckinton grass shredder was to maintain his grass in his yard. He wanted create this priduct to show off that his grass was better then his neighboors.

DESIGN

Charlse B, designed the Buckinton grass shredder after a meat, or cheese shredder. He thought if he made it so that the grass goes inside the hole, and as he moves the razor sharp edges in the holes cut the grass.
